  • Assist with testing and verification of completed equipment against project requirements and internal standards.
  • Support shop testing, Factory Acceptance Testing (FAT), and local on-site commissioning of automation systems. National and international travel will not be required.

  • Prepare material takeoffs and assist with developing project estimates.
  • Support estimating activities that may involve local site investigations and consultation with customers, suppliers, and automation vendors.

Field Service Support

  • Assist with the installation and commissioning of new equipment.
  • Help diagnose mechanical, pneumatic, and control-system issues on industrial equipment.
  • Perform repairs, adjustments, and component replacements under the direction of experienced staff.
  • Conduct post-repair testing to verify equipment operation and performance.
  • Prepare service reports documenting findings, potential implications, work completed, and recommendations.

Manufacturing and Assembly Support

  • Safely and efficiently use common hand and power tools, including wrenches, drills, saws, and taps.
  • Assist with the assembly, modification, and repair of machines and equipment.
  • Support prototyping activities, including the design and production of components using 3D printing.
  • Investigate equipment failures, help identify root causes, and recommend potential repairs or improvements.

Industrial Automation Experience (Preferred, Not Required)

  • Support machine-design projects in collaboration with automation and controls personnel.
  • Assist with the preparation and review of machine-control narratives and operating concepts.
  • Experience with industrial automation systems, including PLCs, HMIs, robots, cobots, VFDs, and servo systems, is considered a strong asset but is not required.
