Responsibilities

• Collect newspapers from the distribution center or printing facility, ensuring all deliveries are accounted for and organized efficiently.
• Safely load newspapers into delivery vehicles, utilizing heavy lifting techniques and equipment such as forklifts when necessary.
• Navigate designated routes confidently, adhering to traffic laws and safety protocols to deliver newspapers promptly.
• Interact professionally with customers during deliveries, addressing inquiries or concerns with clear communication and a friendly attitude.
• Manage delivery schedules effectively, ensuring all subscribers receive their newspapers on time each day.
• Conduct routine vehicle inspections to maintain safety standards and report any maintenance needs promptly.
• Maintain accurate delivery logs and documentation for accountability and reporting purposes.

Skills

• Strong ability to perform heavy lifting and physical moving tasks consistently throughout the shift.
• Experience handling bulk deliveries efficiently.
• Prior warehouse experience or commercial driving background enhances your ability to navigate routes safely and efficiently.
• Demonstrated customer service skills to ensure subscriber satisfaction with timely deliveries.
• Ability to work independently, manage time effectively, and adapt to changing schedules or routes as needed.
