  • Position Overview:

At the Ramada Saskatoon, our line cooks (Breakfast) are responsible for the daily preparation of food items in the pantry, fry and/or other stations or areas of the kitchen.

Position Responsibilities:

  • Prepares, seasons, and cooks a wide variety of meats, vegetables, soups, breakfast dishes, and other food items in appropriate quantities while following menus, recipes, and production sheets while maintaining the highest of standards.
  • Ensures proper plate presentation techniques when displaying food.
  • Organizes and maintaining a clean and sanitary work area.
  • Communicates efficiently with other production and wait staff.
  • Position Requirements:
  • Basic understanding of professional cooking and knife handling skills.
  • Understanding and knowledge of safety, sanitation and food handling procedures.
  • Previous prep or line cook experience.
  • English language and professional communications skills are required.
  • Ability to take direction.
  • Ability to work in a team environment.
  • Ability to work calmly and effectively under pressure.
  • Must have problem solving abilities and be self-motivated.
  • Commitment to quality service, and food and beverage knowledge.
  • Must be able to work in a fast paced environment.
  • Demonstrates the ability to proactively prioritize needs, put first things first, and effectively manage resources and time.
