Purpose:

The Transportation Analyst provides direction and support for fleet operations across all Warehouse locations, including Delivery, Dispatch and Mobility Services. This role is responsible for ensuring operational excellence to achieve and contribute to the satisfaction and retention of the customers we serve, as well as contribute to and support growth of the Ontario Medical Supply Inc. (OMS) line of business.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Communicates effectively with freight carriers, suppliers, customers, and other operational entities.
  • Provides assistance and guidelines to customers with carrier and mode selection.
  • Tenders freight to partner carriers.
  • Analyzes data to monitor performance and improve business processes.
  • Tracks and traces shipments.
  • Develops and conducts logistics processes training to business partners.
  • Ability to read and explain reports to internal customers to support business decisions.
  • Handles service providers’ inquiries regarding payment issues, including invoice inconsistencies, payment disputes and others.
  • Ensures carrier freight invoice payments and payables are current. This includes research and coordination with A/P or other 3rd party partners of freight invoices to determine issues and provide resolution.
  • Makes shipping decisions for the business that supports the overall strategy and goals.
  • Participates in continuous improvement processes and initiatives.
  • Extracts and analyzes reports from different data sources as required by management.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

  • 3+ years’ experience in Logistics or similar field.
  • Bilingual in English and French preferred.
  • Strong knowledge of supply chain transportation.
  • Integrity, sense of urgency, acute attention to detail, proactiveness

SKILLS:
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Strong knowledge of MS Office suite
  • Ability to combine and utilize professional experience, processes, and systems to support internal and external customers.
  • Ability to effectively solve common shipping problems.
  • Ability to work independently and in a virtual environment
