Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled and motivated candidate to lead our lawn mowing team. The ideal candidate will oversee daily operations related to lawn mowing and trimming, ensuring high-quality service delivery and cost-effectiveness for the employer. Top priority for us are service quality, time theft prevention, and employee health and safety. This role requires strong leadership abilities, lawn mowing and trimming experience, and clean driving and criminal records. You will be responsible for coordinating team efforts, maintaining client satisfaction, and ensuring safety standards are met across all sites.

Duties

• Supervise and coordinate lawn care activities including mowing, trimming, edging, and litter cleanup.
• Monitor sites to notify office of opportunity for extra work
• Notify office of any issues with health and safety, quality control, employee time management, and key performance indicators
• Ensure lawn maintenance services are on schedule at all times and satisfy our scope of work and quality control requirements
• Lead and motivate team members by providing clear instructions, training, and performance feedback.
• Monitor safety procedures to maintain a safe working environment for all staff.
• Collaborate with clients to understand their landscaping needs and provide professional recommendations, or relay information to office.
• Assist with construction-related landscape projects when necessary.
• Maintain equipment and supplies inventory; coordinate repairs or replacements as needed.
• Prepare reports on project progress and team performance for management review.
• Maintain app usage and handwritten logs to keep track of work completed.

Qualifications

• Proven experience in commercial lawn maintenance, equipment operating, or leadership roles for outdoor work.
• Supervising experience with the ability to lead a team effectively.
• Leadership skills with the ability to motivate and manage staff efficiently.
• Excellent communication skills for coordinating with clients and team members.
• Physical ability to perform outdoor work in various weather conditions; capable of lifting heavy equipment or materials when necessary.
• Valid G or higher driver's license, or other provincial equivalent.
• Clean criminal record with no convictions.
• Clean driver's abstract with no at-fault collisions and less than 3 convictions in the past 5 years.
• Experience driving a truck with a two-axle trailer.

This position offers an opportunity to lead a dedicated lawn mowing team, ensuring local parks, schools, and other commercial and residential properties are well maintained all season long.

Plenty of hours available, ability to work Saturday when required is a must.

Opportunity to extend work into the future, including winter snow clearing operations and hardscaping/landscaping work.

Pay: Up to $35.00 per hour
