Job Overview

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Dental Hygienist to join our dental practice. The ideal candidate will be responsible for providing high-quality preventive dental care, educating patients on oral health, and assisting the dental team in delivering exceptional patient experiences. This role offers an opportunity to work in a supportive environment with a focus on patient well-being and professional growth.

Responsibilities

  • Perform dental cleanings, including scaling and polishing teeth to remove plaque and tartar buildup
  • Take and develop dental radiographs as needed for diagnosis and treatment planning
  • Educate patients on proper oral hygiene practices and preventive care strategies
  • Maintain accurate patient records using Dentrix dental management software
  • Provide support with orthodontic procedures and pediatric dentistry when necessary
  • Ensure a clean, organized, and sterile clinical environment in compliance with PIPEDA standards
  • Address patient questions or concerns with professionalism and empathy
  • Support the dental team with administrative tasks such as scheduling appointments and managing patient flow

Requirements

  • Valid CDHO licensure as a Dental Hygienist with current credentials
  • Experience working in a dental office setting, preferably with pediatrics or orthodontic
  • Strong knowledge of medical terminology related to dentistry
  • Excellent customer service skills with the ability to communicate effectively with diverse patient populations, including bilingual capabilities are a plus
  • Ability to work efficiently both independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment
  • Commitment to maintaining the highest standards of infection control and patient safety

Pay: $50.00-$55.00 per hour
