Company Overview
Discovery Organics is Western Canada’s trusted source for 100% certified organic produce. Discovery values relationships with their customers, their suppliers and the staff members who make up this unique company. Beginning in 1999, Discovery has now grown into a successful company with more than 70 employees, from all walks of life, and is looking to add to our ranks. Discovery Organics is hiring a full time Warehouser to join the warehouse team.

Key Responsibilities and Tasks:

· Unloading Full Trailers

· Unloading Local drivers

· Cooler rotation, maintaining strict adherence to FIFO

· Assisting QC Dept. with various tasks when needed

Required Qualifications:

· High Proficiency with Stand up counterbalance and Sit-down forklifts Mandatory

- Able and willing to work in a fast-paced warehouse environment

- Ability to multitask and prioritize time sensitive tasks

- Strong interpersonal and communication skills – both written and verbal

- Reliable & collaborative worker in either a team or individually

- Fluent in English – both written and verbal

- Food Safe Level 1 is an asset, but not required

Physical Requirements:

- Ability to lift up to 50lbs from floor level to standing position

- Spend the majority of an 8 hour shift on your feet

- Able to work in cold cooler temperatures (35F – 50F)

- Ability to compost produce when necessary

- Day shift 8-4pm / 9-5pm / Possible evenings 3-11pm

- Weekend availability is Mandatory

Starting wage: $19/hr

The Discovery Organic Quality Control & Receiving team is looking for a motivated individual to join our team, work alongside coworkers in a high paced environment and has the ability to uphold the quality standards of Discovery.
