Job Title: Part-Time Bakery Clerk - Artisan Bakery Downtown
We are seeking a friendly and reliable Bakery Clerk to join our close-knit team at our artisan bakery downtown.
Job Details: Part-time/Full-time. Pay rate of $18.25 an hour
Work schedule:
Start times can be anywhere from 8:15am-12:00pm
End times can be anywhere from 1:00pm - 5:00 pm
Responsibilities:
- Greet customers in a friendly and welcoming manner
- Sell our baked products and assist customers with their purchases
- Take payments using cash registers and POS systems
- Keep the work area clean, tidy, and hygienic at all times
- Follow proper food handling and storage procedures
- Kitchen dishes and kitchen clean up
- Assist with inventory management and restocking shelves
- Provide exceptional customer service and address customer concerns
- Packaging baked goods for customers and for orders
- Work quickly & efficiently
Requirements:
- Previous experience in a customer service role is preferred
- Knowledge of basic math and cash handling procedures
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a team
- Friendly, welcoming attitude, and excellent communication skills
- FoodSafe certificate is an asset
- Be able to work in a fast paced environment
