About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Oracle Fusion HCM Techno-Functional Consultant to join our team in either Brampton, Ontario or Calgary, Alberta. The ideal candidate will possess strong expertise across Oracle Fusion HCM modules, with a particular focus on Payroll, and will be responsible for providing production support, system enhancements, reporting, integrations, and ongoing optimization of Oracle HCM solutions.

This role requires a blend of functional and technical skills, working closely with HR, Payroll, Finance, and IT stakeholders to ensure smooth operations and continuous improvement of the Oracle Fusion HCM environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide L2/L3 production support across Oracle Fusion HCM modules including:
  • Core HR
  • Payroll
  • Absence Management
  • Oracle Time and Labor (OTL)
  • Talent Management
  • Onboarding
  • Support payroll processing activities and critical payroll cycles, ensuring timely issue resolution and business continuity.
  • Lead Oracle quarterly patching activities, including:
  • Impact assessment
  • Regression testing coordination
  • Patch deployment support
  • Post-patch validation
  • Collaborate with HR, Payroll, Finance, and business stakeholders to analyze, troubleshoot, and resolve functional and technical issues.
  • Design, develop, and maintain BI Publisher and OTBI reports to support HR and Payroll analytics and operational reporting requirements.
  • Develop and maintain Fast Formulas for:
  • Payroll calculations
  • Absence accruals
  • Benefits administration
  • Other HCM business requirements
  • Manage HCM Data Loader (HDL) processes and HCM Extracts for workforce, compensation, contracts, salary, and employee data management.
  • Support and troubleshoot integrations between Oracle Fusion HCM, Oracle EBS, payroll systems, benefits providers, and other downstream applications.
  • Perform root cause analysis and implement sustainable solutions for complex production issues.
  • Create and maintain technical and functional documentation, support knowledge transfer initiatives, and mentor junior consultants.
  • Participate in system enhancement projects, testing activities, and process improvement initiatives.

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field.
  • 5+ years of hands-on experience with Oracle Fusion HCM.
  • Strong experience supporting:
  • Oracle Fusion Core HR
  • Payroll (Mandatory)
  • Absence Management
  • Oracle Time and Labor (OTL)
  • Talent Management
  • Onboarding
  • Proven experience providing production support in Oracle HCM environments.
  • Strong expertise in Oracle Fusion Payroll configuration, support, troubleshooting, and payroll processing cycles.
  • Hands-on experience with:
  • BI Publisher (Mandatory)
  • OTBI Reporting (Mandatory)
  • SQL and PL/SQL
  • Experience developing and supporting Fast Formulas.
  • Strong working knowledge of:
  • HCM Data Loader (HDL)
  • HCM Extracts
  • Data migration and data conversion processes
  • Experience supporting Oracle Fusion HCM integrations with Oracle EBS and third-party applications.
  • Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management abilities.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Oracle Fusion HCM certifications.
  • Experience in Canadian payroll processing and compliance.
  • Experience working in large enterprise environments supporting multiple business units.
  • Exposure to Benefits, Compensation, and Workforce Management modules.
  • Experience with Oracle Cloud quarterly release management and testing.
