Oracle Application Support jobs

Procase Consulting is looking for an experienced Senior Systems Analyst with strong Oracle SQL and PL/SQL knowledge to support complex enterprise applications.

This is a hands-on systems analysis and coordination role involving requirements gathering, production issue analysis, system enhancements and direct interaction with business users and development teams.

This is not primarily a software development or people-management role. The successful candidate must be technically strong enough to independently investigate Oracle application behaviour, review SQL/PLSQL logic and provide clear analysis and direction to development.

Key Responsibilities

• Work directly with business users to gather and clarify requirements and understand business processes.
• Own the intake, triage and analysis of production issues and enhancement requests.
• Reproduce issues, compare expected versus actual behaviour and assess business impact and priority.
• Analyze application screens, back-end logic, reports, scheduled jobs, data, integrations, workflows and business rules.
• Use Oracle SQL and PL/SQL to investigate application behaviour, data issues and existing system logic.
• Prepare clear functional specifications, system analysis documents, business rules and impact assessments.
• Coordinate work between business users, developers, QA and project teams and remain involved through implementation, testing and closure.

Required Skills and Experience

• 7+ years of systems analysis, business systems analysis or enterprise application analysis experience.
• 7+ years gathering requirements and preparing functional or system specifications.
• 10+ years working with Oracle SQL and PL/SQL.
• Ability to independently read and understand existing SQL and PL/SQL, including packages, procedures and functions.
• Experience investigating and triaging production issues and enhancement requests.
• Experience working directly with business users and coordinating work with development and QA teams.
• Experience analyzing complex enterprise applications involving business rules, reports, jobs, integrations and workflows.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills and ability to explain technical issues clearly.
• Ability to work independently, make sound recommendations and follow work through resolution.

Preferred Skills

• Oracle APEX experience.
• Experience with financial, insurance, pension, healthcare, ERP or other regulated enterprise systems.
• Jira or similar issue-tracking tools.
• Experience coordinating production support or enhancement backlogs.
• Agile or hybrid delivery experience.

Role Details

• Salary: CA$100,000 per year
• Work arrangement: Primarily remote. Candidates must be located in the Greater Toronto Area and able to attend the client office as required.
