Full job description

2 x free prescription eyewear per calendar year to keep you on trend!

Our brand is modern, fresh, fashion-focused and dynamic with a solid clinical presence. We pride ourselves on our team, our product, and our customers. We produce our own handcrafted optical frames and sunglasses at an affordable price to meet any budget.

About the role

Our Opticians are central to the success of our business as they have the crucial role of fulfilling the Optometrist's prescription and supporting our customers through the frame selection process.

We require a licensed Optician who is capable of delivering leading practice patient experience and provide a high standard of support to our Optometrists. It is critical that the Optician is capable of suitably complementing the advice of our Optometrists when talking to our patients about eye heath and strategies to maintain good eye health. Therefore, a strong understanding of the anatomy of the eye and a caring approach with patients is necessary.

In addition to standard dispensing duties, other typical duties involve:

  • Conduct pre-testing activities.
  • Assist with submitting third party benefit claims.
  • Remake, adjust and repair frames.
  • Follow up on outstanding customer orders.

About the person

At minimum the ideal applicant will have:

  • Appropriate provincial Optician license or certification by a nationally or provincially recognized opticianry college.
  • Whilst displaying a genuine care for eye health the Optician is also capable of confidently and effectively working with customers through the frame selection process.
  • Strong and effective time management and organizational skills.
  • Works with a sense of urgency and adaptability.
  • Flexibility to work mall hours including evenings and weekends.

We are a privately owned and operated Australian optical retailer and clinical service provider with a strong passion for continuous improvement and growth. Since 2012 we have grown our network to over 130 stores across three countries including 6 stores in Canada.

We have a dedicated team of over 1000+ employees globally.
