Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Optometrist to join our healthcare team. The ideal candidate will provide comprehensive eye care services, including vision assessments, diagnoses, and treatment plans. This role offers an excellent opportunity to work in a dynamic environment, serving diverse patient populations ranging from pediatrics to senior care. The Optometrist will utilize advanced technology and maintain high standards of patient care to improve visual health and quality of life.

Duties

  • Conduct thorough eye examinations using diagnostic tools and equipment
  • Prescribe corrective lenses, contact lenses, and other vision aids
  • Diagnose and manage ocular diseases and conditions
  • Provide patient education on eye health, safety, and proper lens care
  • Collaborate with ophthalmologists and other healthcare professionals for comprehensive patient management
  • Utilize electronic health records systems such as Epic for documentation and scheduling
  • Assist in developing treatment plans tailored to individual patient needs
  • Engage in sales of eyewear products and accessories to enhance patient satisfaction
  • Offer specialized care for pediatric patients, seniors, and those requiring chronic or complex eye care management

Experience

  • Prior optical experience is preferred, with a strong understanding of vision correction technologies
  • Experience working with pediatric patients and senior care populations is highly desirable
  • Proven ability in patient care with excellent communication skills
  • Familiarity with medical terminology relevant to ophthalmology and optometry practices
  • Experience using electronic health record systems such as Epic is a plus
  • Knowledge of sales techniques related to eyewear products is advantageous
  • Ability to work efficiently within a team environment while maintaining high standards of professionalism
