About the Role:

Matrix is seeking an experienced and motivated Recruitment Specialist to support full-cycle recruitment across our Projects.

You will attract, source, assess, and hire qualified candidates for positions across our operations. This is an exciting opportunity for someone who enjoys working in a fast-paced environment and building strong relationships with candidates and internal teams.

What You’ll Do

  • Manage full-cycle recruitment from job posting through to offer.
  • Develop recruitment strategies to attract qualified candidates.
  • Source candidates through job boards, social media, referrals, networking, and other recruitment channels.
  • Review applications and conduct phone, virtual, and in-person interviews.
  • Present qualified candidates and recommendations to hiring managers.
  • Prepare and update job descriptions and job advertisements.
  • Coordinate interviews and support the offer and onboarding process.
  • Build strong relationships with hiring managers and understand their current and future staffing needs.
  • Work with the HR team to improve recruitment processes and efficiencies.
  • Ensure recruitment and hiring practices comply with applicable employment legislation.
  • Perform other recruitment and HR-related duties as required.

What You Bring

  • Post-secondary education in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field.
  • At least two years of recruitment experience, preferably in a fast-paced or operational environment.
  • Experience managing multiple vacancies and competing priorities.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Excellent organization and time-management skills.
  • Knowledge of employment standards and recruitment-related legislation.
  • Ability to work independently while contributing to a collaborative team.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office and applicant tracking systems.
  • CPHR designation, or progress toward the designation, is considered an asset.
  • Flexibility to occasionally work outside regular business hours to support operational or seasonal requirements.

Working Conditions:

This position operates in a busy, deadline-driven environment. The successful candidate must be available to work five days per week and occasionally adjust their schedule to meet seasonal or project requirements.

The role primarily involves computer and office-based work, with occasional travel to field locations. Travel may involve varied terrain, changing weather conditions, and work outside regular office hours. Occasional light lifting of up to 25 pounds may also be required.
