We’re looking for a dependable, long-term team member who shows up ready to contribute, thrives in a busy setting, and brings a positive attitude to every shift.

Primary Responsibility: As a key member and integral part of the eye care team, the Ophthalmic Reception/Technician will deliver technical and administrative support to the physician, receptionist, and patients by performing imaging and assisting with any clerical work needed. They will ensure the medical environment is welcoming and provide care with compassion and integrity while adhering to strict confidentiality policies.

Tasks and Duties:

  • OCT testing for Glaucoma, Narrow Angles, Retina, Keratoconus and Pachymetry
  • All Visual field testing (E.G. 30-2, 24-2 driving tests)
  • Ability to fill in where needed performing Pre-ops and Lasers for pressure checks when needed.
  • Ability to support the main receptionist and effectively use the EMR Accuro and EPIC to schedule appointments. (See Tasks & Duties of a Receptionist)
  • Assisting patients during testing –positioning for accurate imaging
  • Contribute to team effort by sharing in Suite responsibilities such as:

o Preparing laundry or autoclave to go out
Ordering internally for office and medical supplies

  • Any additional technician related duties requested by the Physician.
  • Any other duties needed to ensure consistent operation of the Clinic.

Average Weekly Hours: 37.5
Salary Range: $42600-$48400 per year
