Full job description

CAC is a scrap metal recycling facility that is looking for skilled Grapple & Shear operators who pride themselves on being diversified and working in a collective team that share their innovative ideas.

Key Job Duties

· Processing materials such as pipe, exchangers, modules and farm equipment using grapples attachments on material handlers

· Loading and unloading step decks, super b's, demo boxes, flat decks with bunks and pins using grapple and magnet attachments

· Clean, lubricate, fuel and perform minor repairs to equipment

· Attention to detail, safety consciousness and always aware of others and their surroundings.

Qualification and Training Requirements

· Industry experience in scrap/recycling, forestry, mines or similar experience is desirable

· Experience with Sany, Komatsu, Hitachi, Liebherr, Sennebogen, JCB, Case, Acculoader material handlers is required

· Calculate weight, volume and length measurements for various materials processed at our facility

· Heavy equipment operator certification or equivalent experience required

· Knowledge and understanding of counterbalance for more specialized equipment

· Ability to rig is desirable
