Reporting to the Director of Operations, the Manager of Operations plays a key role in overseeing daily operations to drive excellence in care delivery and service provision within the Northern Staffing Division The position involves actively engaging in networking, developing strong business partnerships, and staying abreast of healthcare industry trends to support the achievement of operational goals. This individual is tasked with upholding high standards of quality assurance, fostering positive relationships with internal and external stakeholders, and ensuring smooth and effective operations on a day-to-day basis

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES


  • Leads business development and manages daily operations, as outlined:

Operations

  • Supports and develops strong business relationships and partnerships with key stakeholders.
  • Liaise with funders, government programs, contract managers, and other members of the interdisciplinary care team as required.
  • Supports the integration of client/customer satisfaction initiatives; ensure that all referred client/customer concerns and complaints are satisfactorily addressed and documented in a timely manner.
  • Ensures the effective use of company resources in all operations.
  • Assists in improving operational systems, processes, and policies, specifically, reporting, information flow, business processes and organizational planning (where requested).
  • Assist the Director of Operations in any required weekly, monthly, and annual reports by working in collaboration with the contracts manager to ensure branch reporting requirements are met.
  • Participates in long-term planning, including initiatives geared toward operational excellence in the Northern Staffing division.
  • Collaborate with internal teams to ensure seamless coordination between client requirements and staff deployment.
  • Partner with the recruitment team to forecast client staffing needs and align recruitment priorities accordingly.
  • Identify new business opportunities and contribute to the proposal development and contract negotiations if and as required.
  • Reviews, disseminates and researches, (where applicable) Bayshore's policies and procedures, to ensure accuracy and currency with best practice

  • Participate in ongoing internal and/or external professional development and continuing education activities
  • Adhere to Bayshore Policies and Procedures.
  • Participate in quality activities and continuous improvement initiatives in keeping with the company's Quality Management System
  • Lead and maintain privacy & confidentiality of employee, client/patient and corporate information, including appropriate digital/cybersecurity safeguards.
  • Participates in proactive Health & Safety activities while performing all duties. Is responsible for notifying the Human Resource Manager of any Health & Safety risks or concerns.
  • All duties and responsibilities of this position will be performed with consideration to client safety and well-being.
  • Complete other tasks and duties as requested

REPORTING RELATIONSHIPS

The Manager of Operations reports directly to the Director of Operations. The Director of Operations may designate an alternate direct reporting relationship for specific assignments and special projects.


QUALIFICATIONS

Education:

  • Education in business administration, Nursing, Sales, or related field is required. An equivalent combination of education, training, and relevant work experience may be considered. Advanced degrees or relevant certifications are highly desirable and will be considered an asset.

Experience:

Experience in the HealthCare Industry or a background in Nursing services in Indigenous and Inuit communities with a deep understanding of its unique challenges and opportunities Experience in building and maintaining long term customer relationships, ensuring high levels of customer satisfaction and retention.


Other Skills and Abilities:

Exceptional interpersonal skills and ability to work independently and as part of a team; ability to meet deadlines; demonstrated track record of high productivity; confidence and sound judgment in dealing with customers and a variety of health care providers, including, nurses, managers, and staff from other disciplines. The ability to work collaboratively, assume manager responsibilities, and communicate effectively. Ability to travel to connect with customers and team members throughout Canada is required for the position.


STANDARDS OF PERFORMANCE

Manager of Operations must demonstrate ongoing competence in completing all duties and responsibilities as detailed in this job description, as well as agreed upon specific goals and objectives. All duties and responsibilities of this position will be performed with consideration to client safety and well-being.


PERFORMANCE REVIEW

Performance will be reviewed on an ongoing basis with a formal review at the end of a six-month probationary period, and subsequently, on at least an annual basis. Input will be sought from the employee, the immediate supervisor, key stakeholders, and the corporate service center, and in addition, will be based on ongoing client feedback and the extent to which performance meets expectations.


Salary Range: $75,000 - $80,000
