COMPANY OVERVIEW

Welcome! Banff Park Lodge Collection operates 3 hotel properties - Banff Park Lodge, Bow View Lodge, and Peaks Hotel & Suites. We also operate 2 restaurants - La Terrazza and Crave Mountain Grill. Staff and guests enjoy our ideal location, close to lively downtown Banff on one side and the peaceful Bow River pathway on the other.

THE ROLE

Thank you for your interest in joining our team as Experienced Cook.

Wage will be based on experience.

Duties Include (but are not limited to):

  • Set up and stock stations with all necessary supplies
  • Prepare food for service (e.g. chopping vegetables, butchering meat, or preparing sauces)
  • Report to and follow instructions from Executive Chef and Sous Chef
  • Maintain clean and safe work station
  • Ensure that food comes out simultaneously, in high quality, and in a timely fashion
  • Comply with nutrition and sanitation regulations and safety standards
  • Maintain a positive and professional approach with coworkers and customers
  • Minimize food waste and spoilage

Ideal Candidate:

  • Reliable and can commit to at least 6 months
  • Aspiring to become an apprentice
  • One year of experience in a kitchen required, hotel restaurant cooking is an asset
  • Prepares high quality food and follows superior sanitation standards
  • Is physically capable of lifting and carrying heavy items and standing for long periods of time
  • Is a team player, able to work in close conditions with several other people
