Job Summary:
We are seeking a detail-oriented Quality Inspector to ensure that components and assemblies meet all engineering and customer requirements. Reporting to the Director of Quality and Engineering, this role is responsible for performing inspections, maintaining documentation, and supporting compliance with aerospace standards.

The Quality Inspector will use precision measurement tools and testing methods to verify product conformity while contributing to continuous improvement initiatives that enhance inspection efficiency, reduce costs, and maintain product quality.

Key Responsibilities:

Inspection Activities

  • Conduct incoming, in-process, and final inspections using precision measuring tools and visual standards.
  • Perform First Article Inspections (FAI) in accordance with AS9102.
  • Verify conformity of components and assemblies to drawings, specifications, and process requirements.
  • Inspect mechanical, hydraulic, pneumatic, and electrical systems as applicable.

Documentation & Traceability

  • Complete inspection records and nonconformance documentation.
  • Maintain logbooks, history cards, calibration records, and inspection reports.
  • Ensure proper tagging and traceability of inspected parts and assemblies.

Testing & Verification

  • Perform hardness checks, freezer checks, tape tests, and other material verifications.
  • Conduct non-destructive testing (NDT), harmonic bond tests, and conductivity checks as required.

Collaboration & Compliance

  • Liaise with engineering teams and customer source inspectors on quality-related issues.
  • Support containment activities and assist with corrective and preventive actions (RCCA).
  • Ensure compliance with AS9100, customer-specific standards, and internal quality procedures.

Qualifications/Experience:

  • High school diploma (required); post-secondary education in a technical field preferred.
  • 1–3 years of experience in aerospace or precision manufacturing inspection.
  • Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings, specifications, and process documents.
  • Proficient with micrometers, calipers, gauges, and other precision inspection tools.
  • Familiarity with quality systems, documentation practices, and regulatory standards.
