Baton Rouge Barrie is currently looking for Line Cooks/Prep Cooks to join their team!

The moment you walk through the door, you know an extraordinary dining experience awaits! Since we first opened in 1992, our goal has been to indulge our guests in an inviting atmosphere, succulent quality dishes and outstanding service at each of our growing number of restaurants.

Duties & Responsibilities

  • Prepare a variety of meat, seafood, poultry, and other food items for cooking in variety of kitchen equipment.
  • Takes pride and responsibility for the quality of products served.
  • Strives to meet company standards by practicing proper portion sizes, cooking methods, quality standards and kitchen rules, policies and procedures.
  • Is always in control of their stations, maintains sufficient levels of food products at line stations to assure a smooth service period.
  • Maintains a clean and sanitary work station area.
  • Follows proper plate presentation and garnish set up for all dishes.
  • Handles, stores and rotates all products properly.
  • Assists in food prep assignments during off-peak periods as needed.
  • Closes the kitchen properly and follows the closing kitchen checklist for kitchen station. Assists others in closing the kitchen.
  • Performs other related duties as assigned by the Kitchen Manager or manager-on-duty.
  • Requirements:
  • Minimum 1 year of experience in kitchen . preparation and cooking. Being multi task and having basic knowledge of Grill , Sauté and salad sections.
  • Must be able to communicate clearly with managers, kitchen staff and dining room personnel..

  • Be able to reach, bend, stoop and frequently lift up to 40 pounds.
  • Be able to work in a standing position for long periods of time.
  • Must be available to work weekdays, weekends, evenings and
  • food handler or an academic degree on culinary or cooking is needed.
