Overview
We are seeking a friendly and organized Dental Receptionist to join our team in a fast-paced, family oriented dental office. The ideal candidate will be the first point of contact for our patients and will play a crucial role in ensuring a positive experience from the moment they enter our practice. This position requires excellent communication skills, attention to detail, and proficiency in managing administrative tasks within a dental environment.

Responsibilities

  • Greet patients warmly and manage the front desk operations efficiently.
  • Schedule appointments, confirm patient visits, and handle cancellations.
  • Maintain accurate patient records using electronic records systems - Dentrix & Max assist
  • Answer phone calls professionally, addressing inquiries and providing information about services offered.
  • Collect patient information and verify insurance details prior to appointments. This includes sending pre determinations.
  • Assist with billing and payment processing as needed. This includes sending claims, managing Accounts Receivables and making follow up calls for payment/ Pre Ds.
  • Ensure the reception area is clean, organized, and welcoming for patients.
  • Collaborate with dental staff to ensure smooth patient flow throughout the office.

Qualifications

  • Previous experience in a dental office setting is preferred.
  • Proficiency in Dentrix and RecallMax or similar dental software is highly desirable.
  • Strong administrative skills with a focus on accuracy and detail.
  • Familiarity with phone systems and managing multi-line calls effectively.
  • Knowledge of Dental terminology.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate clearly with patients and team members.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining professionalism and composure.

Hours

  • 4 days a week- M,T,W,Th
  • 8 hour shifts with an hour lunch
  • 1/ month - Saturday - 8am to2pm
  • No Sundays
  • 2 evenings [Patients scheduled till 7pm]
  • Approximately 30 hours per week
  • M 8:15-4:15 T 11:15-7:15 , W 7:45-3:45 , TH 11:15-7:15
