Job Summary
We are seeking dedicated and hardworking individuals to join our team as barn help taking care of our horses, tidy barn, work around barn and clean tack. The ideal candidate will have a passion for working with horses, a strong work ethic, dedicated to showing up to shifts, trustworthy, and the ability to perform physical tasks like cleaning, working outside, mucking, handling and feeding horses.

Duties

  • Feed and water horses daily, ensuring proper nutrition and hydration.
  • Clean stalls and maintain a tidy stable environment by removing waste and bedding.
  • Assist with grooming and caring for horses, including brushing, bathing, and hoof care.
  • Monitor the health and behavior of horses, reporting any concerns to management.
  • Operate farm machinery safely for tasks such as moving hay or bedding.
  • Perform heavy lifting as required, including lifting bales of hay or bags of feed.
  • Cleaning the stable and tack
  • Support the trainer by handling horses, and turnouts

Qualifications

  • Previous experience working with horses.
  • Knowledge of farm machinery operation is advantageous for efficient task completion.
  • Ability to perform heavy lifting (up to 50 pounds) regularly throughout the day.
  • Basic mechanical knowledge is a plus for assisting with equipment maintenance.
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to animal welfare are crucial for success in this role.
  • Must be reliable, punctual, and able to work flexible hours, including weekends if necessary.
