Job Description

At Trisan Construction, we’re looking for an experienced and self-sufficient Construction Surveyor to support our growing portfolio of sewer, watermain, and roadwork projects across Ontario. In this role, you’ll play a critical part in ensuring project accuracy by performing site layout, data preparation, and field verification using Topcon GPS and Total Station equipment.

You’ll work closely with Project Managers, Superintendents, and field crews to interpret drawings, establish control points, and verify grades and alignments to keep projects running efficiently and on specification. This position is ideal for someone who thrives in a fast-paced construction environment, takes pride in precision and accountability, and can confidently work independently while supporting team success. Key Responsibilities

  • Perform layout for sewer, watermain, and road construction
  • Read and interpret drawings and convert to survey data
  • Complete site localization, topo, and as-built surveys
  • Operate Topcon GPS and Total Station
  • Data prep using Topcon Magnet Office / AutoCAD
  • Establish control points and verify elevations
  • Support field crews with grade and alignment

Required Qualifications

  • 3–5+ years of construction surveying experience
  • Experience in heavy civil (sewer/watermain preferred)
  • Topcon GPS + Total Station required
  • Proficient with Magnet Office / AutoCAD
  • Ability to work independently
  • Valid G driver’s license
  • Willing to travel between job sites
