Overview

We are seeking a dedicated IT Help Desk Support professional to join our dynamic technology team. This role is vital in providing technical assistance and support to end-users, ensuring smooth operation of hardware, software, and network systems. The ideal candidate will possess strong communication skills, a customer-focused mindset, and a solid foundation in various operating systems and networking concepts. This position offers an excellent opportunity to develop your IT support expertise within a collaborative environment, supporting users across multiple platforms including Windows, macOS, and Linux.

Responsibilities

  • Provide first-line technical support via help desk tickets, phone, or email to resolve hardware, software, and network issues efficiently.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to operating systems such as Windows, macOS, and Linux.
  • Assist users with desktop support including software troubleshooting, hardware problems, and peripheral device setup.
  • Manage and support computer networking issues including LAN connectivity, firewall configurations, and VPN access.
  • Utilize IT service management tools such as ServiceNow, BMC Remedy, and Jira to document incidents and track resolution progress.
  • Support software applications including Microsoft Office suite and other enterprise tools.
  • Configure and maintain security measures like firewalls and VPNs to ensure data protection.
  • Collaborate with team members on escalated issues requiring advanced technical expertise.
  • Maintain knowledge of current technology trends and best practices in IT support.

Experience

  • Proven experience in a technical support or help desk role with familiarity in desktop support and troubleshooting.
  • Hands-on experience with operating systems such as Windows, macOS, and Linux.
  • Strong understanding of computer networking concepts including LAN setup, firewall management, and VPN configuration.
  • Experience using IT ticketing systems like ServiceNow or BMC Remedy for incident management.
  • Knowledge of software troubleshooting techniques for common enterprise applications.
  • Familiarity with computer hardware components and maintenance procedures.
  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to convey technical information clearly to non-technical users.
  • Prior experience supporting remote users via VPN or remote desktop tools is a plus.

Pay: $89,000.00-$115,000.00 per year
