Position Overview
We are seeking a full-time, seasonal Guest Services Agent to serve as a primary point of contact for campground guests. In this role, you will assist with guest inquiries, reservations, and check-ins while helping create a welcoming and positive experience for everyone visiting the campground.
The Guest Services Agent supports daily campground operations by providing administrative assistance, delivering excellent guest service, and assisting with retail operations at the Trading Post. This position works closely with the campground team to ensure guests receive friendly, efficient service and that day-to-day operations run smoothly.
This is a live-on-site role ideal for someone who enjoys working in a dynamic outdoor hospitality environment. The successful candidate will have strong organizational skills, the ability to multitask in a busy setting, and a proactive approach to problem-solving while supporting overall campground operations.
Wage: $18 per hour
Staff Accommodation: available on site. Applicants applying with a friend or partner are encouraged to apply, as shared staff accommodation may be available.
Shifts: Full-time, seasonal (May to October) position including days, evenings, and weekends
Key Responsibilities
Administrative Support
- Monitor and respond to campground email inquiries in a timely and professional manner
- Manage guest bookings, reservations, check-ins, and check-outs through the reservation system
- Maintain accurate guest and reservation records within campground management systems
- Answer phone calls and assist guests with reservations, general inquiries, and campground information
- Support general office organization and assist with daily administrative operations
Technology & Systems
- Utilize Microsoft Office applications including Outlook, Excel, Word, and Teams for daily communication and reporting
- Operate reservation and campground management systems to update bookings and guest information
- Navigate and work within multiple online systems; experience with WebRezPro is considered an asset
Guest Services
- Provide friendly, professional, and helpful customer service to all guests
- Assist guests with questions, concerns, and basic service requests during their stay
- Help maintain a welcoming, safe, and positive campground atmosphere
- Participate in overnight phone and on-call rotations as required
Trading Post (Retail Operations)
- Process retail sales using the point-of-sale (POS) system
- Accurately handle cash, debit, and credit transactions
- Restock merchandise and maintain organized retail displays
- Assist with inventory tracking and periodic inventory counts
Laundry & Rental Services
- Manage campground laundry services, including linens and guest-use items
- Track rental items such as linens and equipment, including distribution and returns
- Maintain cleanliness, organization, and adequate stock levels of laundry and rental supplies
General Campground Support
- Assist with tent setup and basic site preparation as needed
- Support light housekeeping tasks including cleaning and organizing guest-use areas
- Assist with light grounds maintenance and upkeep of campground spaces
- Perform other duties as assigned to support overall campground operations
Requirements
- Previous experience in Campground work is considered an asset.
- Able to live in a remote location.
- Strong computer skills and comfort with technology
- Working knowledge of Microsoft Office – Outlook, Excel, Word, Teams.
- Negative criminal record check.
- Strong communication and customer service skills
- Detail-oriented and organized
- Able to multitask in a busy environment
- Previous administrative, hospitality, or retail experience preferred
