Are you a CG Designer with prior experience and a passion for designing vehicles? One of our CG productions is seeking a CG Designer to join their team

Atomic Cartoons, a Blue Ant Studios company, is an award-winning, internationally renowned animation studio with teams in Vancouver, Ottawa, and Los Angeles. Known for an artist-driven culture that attracts, retains and promotes the best talent in the business, Atomic develops and produces high-end animated content that spans preschool, comedy, action-adventure, adult and commercial genres, and everything in between. The animation studio has developed a stellar global reputation for its ability to translate big brands like LEGO, Star Wars, My Little Pony, CoComelon, and many more into top-notch animation, while also developing high-quality original Atomic productions like The Last Kids on Earth,Rocket Saves the Day, and Mermicorno: Starfall. WHAT YOU WILL DO:

  • Design diverse characters, locations, environments or props for a CG production with a focus on vehicle design.
  • Work efficiently and within the established workflow.
  • Participate in department meetings as required.
  • Take direction from the Art Director.
  • Meet deadlines as assigned by production.
  • Share ideas, collaborate and work closely with all members of the design team.

WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR:

  • A strong portfolio that demonstrates your understanding of art fundamentals such as structure, composition, and design principles.
  • A diverse portfolio that portrays a wide variety of styles; a mix of both cartoon and realistic examples.
  • Excellent visual skills and attention to detail.
  • A willingness to work in a team, take direction and have a positive attitude.
  • Prior experience working on a CG animated feature or series in a design role is an asset.
  • A portfolio that includes various examples of vehicle design is an asset.
  • Experience designing backgrounds and environments is an asset.
  • Experience using both Maya and Blender is an asset.
  • Currently legally entitled to work in Canada.
  • Current BC Residents are preferred for this role.


START DATE: July 2026


  • Applicants must have resided within BC as of December 31, 2025 and be able to provide the appropriate supporting documents.
  • All Atomic employees in this role have the opportunity to work remotely within BC, artists within Vancouver and the Lower Mainland can also choose hybrid and in-studio options.
