Full job description

POSITION: Production Associate II REPORTS TO: Manager, Production
WAGE: $21.63 per hour

We created One Degree Organic Foods to give you the power to meet every farmer, farm co-op, and producer behind every ingredient you are eating — just like a farmer’s market. Our family believes in the connection between healthy soil, healthy plants, and healthy people. And we believe you deserve 100% transparency in everything you eat. If you are excited by the idea of sharing your passion for healthy and delicious food with like-minded individuals and bringing great tasting products to consumers across North America and beyond, we want to hear from you!

We are looking for skilled Production Associate II to join the team! You will be a great fit if you are a friendly and hardworking team player who is eager to take on new challenges! This role is physically demanding as you will be working in a fast-paced environment that involves repetitive tasks, bending, crouching, lifting, and standing for extended periods. The environment is highly dynamic, so you need to be able to learn new machinery and equipment and easily adjust to changing process. Thinking on your feet will be critical to be successful in the role. You must be open to a variety of tasks, including occasional cleaning, as well as schedules that are based on the changing project needs.

HERE IS WHAT YOU’LL DO…

Drive & Motivation
  • You are a hard worker with the willingness to roll up your sleeves and get the job done
  • You want to expand your knowledge and learn about our unique processes
  • You are a positive and optimistic team player who strives for excellence

Character & Abilities
  • You are able to lift up to 75lbs for short distances
  • You are a quick learner and pay extra attention to details
  • You are able to identify mechanical problems on equipment
  • You are able to follow processes and work diligently with minimal supervision

Skills & Experience
  • You understand production principles, processes and equipment
  • You understand time, temperature, pressure and other monitoring devices
  • You have excellent communication skills (verbal and written)

Nice-to-Have
  • Certified/experience on Forklift

THINGS YOU WILL DO…
  • Operate various kinds of machinery and equipment
  • Create SOPs and troubleshoot issues
  • Perform testing activities, monitor, record and adjust parameters to meet quality requirements
  • Staying physically active and involved throughout the day to effectively perform tasks at hand
  • Other activities as assigned, including but not limited to occasional moving and sanitation tasks
  • You are able to work flexible shifts, as the job requires
