Human Resources Service Centre Technician

Department: Human Resources - Benefits and absence

Location: On-site, Laval, QC (4204 boulevard Industriel, H7L 0E3)

WHAT YOU’LL DO

As a Human Resources Service Centre Technician, you will play a key role in supporting employees and ensuring the effective administration of employee benefits, disability leaves, and immigration-related processes.

YOUR RESPONSIBILITIES WILL INCLUDE:

• Coordinating annual HR initiatives and preparing employee communications.

• Supporting the administration of short-term and long-term disability cases by maintaining accurate employee files, proactively following up with employees and the insurance provider, and ensuring the timely payment of insurance premiums.

• Supporting work permit processes by maintaining accurate records and proactively following up with employees throughout each stage.

• Preparing employment confirmation letters and other documentation required for immigration purposes.

• Collaborating with the group insurance provider to support the day-to-day administration of employee benefits.

• Acting as a liaison between employees, managers, and the insurance provider to facilitate safe and successful return-to-work plans.

• Performing a variety of administrative duties, including preparing reports, entering and validating data, maintaining employee records, and distributing communications.

• Ensuring that employee information and documentation are handled accurately, confidentially, and in accordance with internal policies and applicable requirements.

WHAT YOU’LL NEED

We want you to join our team! Here's what we're looking for:

Education

• DEC or AEC in HR or business administration or any related field;

Experience:

• Minimum of one (1) to two (2) years of relevant experience;
• Experience in group benefits, disability case management, leave administration, immigration processes, or an HR Service Centre environment is considered a strong asset.

Knowledge and skills:

• Knowledge of HR practices and applicable employment legislation.
• Strong customer service, interpersonal, and communication skills.
• Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
• Effective management of multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively.
• Discretion when handling sensitive and confidential information.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office; experience with Workday is an asset.

Language skills

• Bilingualism required (Advanced French and English) both spoken and written, as the person will be required to work and communicate regularly in English while performing the tasks outlined above. Specifically, the role requires collaboration with global teams.
