ONE CARE Home & Community Support Services is a community based, charitable, Not-For-Profit health organization providing supportive care to families in Huron and Perth Counties as well as the surrounding area.

We are currently seeking a full-time Supervisor for our Adult Day Program/Overnight Respite Program for a 6 month contract.

LOCATION:

On Site with the expectation to travel to multiple ADP sites. (Wingham, South Huron, Clinton, Grand Bend and Goderich)

HOURS OF WORK:

Full time Monday -Friday. (With on call rotation including evenings and weekends)

JOB DESCRIPTION:

Working in our Community Support Services department, this position includes supervising, providing direction, education and guidance Reporting to the Manager, Programs/Services the ADP/Overnight Respite Program Supervisor is responsible for the operational supervision of the ADP (including specialty programs such as Life After Stroke) and overnight respite programs at ONE CARE Home and Community Support Services. The Supervisor ensures the programs are delivered in accordance with all related procedures and policies of the organization. ADP/ONR Supervisor is responsible for hiring, assigning and managing staff and is responsible for program volunteers directed by staff. The Supervisor assists in the development of program plans and related annual operating budgets and monitoring program performance and expenditures and provides regular reports to the Manager.

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • University Degree or College Diploma in a related field (Recreation/Human Services/Business/Health Sciences) from a recognized educational institution.
  • Minimum of five years’ program experience preferably in a Supervisory role in a health-related setting.
  • Expertise relating to the aging population and provision of community-based services, knowledge of issues in gerontology and resulting health issues.
  • Proficiency and working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite with enhanced skills in Excel as well as experience with Scheduling Management Systems.
  • Training and experience with specific approaches such as Gentle Persuasive Approach (GPA), uFirst/PIECES, Montessori, or DementiAbility are an asset.
  • Valid driver’s license, insurance and use of vehicle.
