Job Title: Distillery Assistant

Company Overview:
Eau Claire Distillery is a renowned distillery dedicated to crafting high-quality spirits with a commitment to tradition and innovation. Situated in Diamond Valley, our distillery has a rich history spanning 10 years, producing premium spirits that have garnered acclaim both locally and internationally including best Canadian whisky 2024.

Position Overview:
We are seeking a passionate and enthusiastic person to join our team here at Eau Claire Distillery. This role offers a unique opportunity to gain hands-on experience in the art of distillation, learn about the production and packaging process of various spirits, and contribute to the growth and success of our distillery. The role will work closely with our experienced team members and gain insight into the operations of a successful distillery. You will also gain valuable experience within an SAP system, ensuring the integrity and reliability of information related to various business processes. You will collaborate with different departments to gather, validate, and input data according to established guidelines and procedures.

Key Responsibilities:

Assist in Distillation Process: Work alongside our distillers to assist in the production process of spirits, including milling, mashing, fermentation, distillation, and aging.

Packaging Operations: Assist in packaging operations, including filling, labeling, inventory management, and organization.

Quality Control: Participate in quality control procedures, including sensory evaluations, tasting panels, and analysis of raw materials and finished products.

Warehouse Operations: Assist in warehouse operations, including preparing orders for distribution, receiving shipments, inventory management, and organization.

Site Maintenance Support: Support maintenance team with the aesthetic appeal, safety, and functionality of outdoor spaces within our organization's premises. This includes various tasks related to the upkeep and maintenance of landscapes.

Documentation: Maintain detailed records of production activities, including Distillation logs, packaging and inventory reports and input into an SAP system.

Safety and Compliance: Adhere to all safety protocols and regulatory requirements to ensure a safe working environment and compliance with industry standards.

Qualifications:

Passion for the craft spirits industry and a desire to learn about distillation and packaging processes.

Strong attention to detail and commitment to producing high-quality products.

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.

Must be at least 18 years old.

Previous experience in a distillery, brewery, winery, or related industry is a plus but not required.

Forklift experience is not required but must be willing to learn to operate a forklift.

Compensation: $16-22/hr depending on experience

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $16.00-$22.00 per hour
