Full job description

JD&C Services Ltd. is currently looking for a Class 1 or 3 driver for our potable water division providing work year-round. The job will be permanent on a set rotation of days on and days off. This position is mainly operating a tandem or tri-drive bodyjob.

Applicant Requirements:

  • A Valid Canadian Class 3 Driver’s License that is not restricted to automatic transmissions;
  • Class 1 is preferred.
  • Ability to operate a manual 18 speed transmission;
  • Good communication skills;
  • Basic mechanical knowledge;
  • The following valid oilfield certificates - Standard 1st Aid, H2S Alive, Common Safety Orientation;
  • Canadian resource road / logging road and mountain driving experience.
  • Experience with dynamic shifting loads (fluid, aggregates, cement, logs etc.) in Canada (preferred);
  • Experience utilizing apps and software to complete paperwork an asset;
  • Canadian oil and gas industry experience is preferred but not essential;

*Candidates must be able to perform shift work (days and nights), be able to work in all weather conditions, and must be able to pass a post offer, drug and alcohol screening.

Job Details & Responsibilities:

  • Operate/drive tank trucks;
  • Daily equipment maintenance;
  • Follow detailed instructions;
  • Complete all required paperwork;
  • Work independently and/or in a team setting;
  • Follow all HSE policies, procedures, and practices;

This is NOT a camp based position;

Ability to commute/relocate:

  • Hinton, AB: reliably commute or plan to relocate before starting work (required)

Experience:

  • CANADIAN Class 1 logging or bush road driving: 3 years (preferred)
  • competently operating an 18 spd manual transmission : 1 year (preferred)

Licence/Certification:

  • Unrestricted Canadian Class 3 Drivers License (required)
