THE OPPORTUNITY


Ambipar Response. is currently seeking a Seasonal Wildfire Medic based out of Lower Mainland, BC. We’re specifically seeking candidates who are local to the Lower Mainland area to meet client response time requirements.


We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Seasonal First Aid Attendant to provide medical support in a dynamic outdoor environment. In this role, you will be responsible for responding to medical emergencies, assessing injuries, and delivering first aid care in accordance with workplace health and safety regulations. You will also assist with incident documentation, and ensuring compliance with safety protocols.


The ideal candidate has strong problem-solving skills, can work independently in remote or high-risk settings, and is capable of making critical decisions under pressure. This position may involve long shifts, exposure to varying weather conditions, and physically demanding tasks.


RESPONSIBILITIES AT HAND / WHAT YOUR DAYS WILL CONSIST OF

· Maintenance of medical and transport equipment

· Medical response to wildland personnel

· Daily crew check ins

· Daily paperwork submission

· Travel to and from camp to the work location

· Respond to first aid related services both on site and at camp

· Administer assessments and first aid in accordance with the workers compensation board to injured personnel

· Maintain readiness of equipment

· Maintain relevant medical documentation and records on site

· Additional duties assigned by the manager or unit leader.


REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS


· Valid Intermediate First Aid with Transport Endorsement (OFA2+TE) or Advanced First Aid (OFA 3) Certificate

· ICS 100

· Class 5 driver’s license

· Must be able to pass a company fitness test

· Fluent in English is required to ensure clear and effective radio communication for operational and safety purposes

· Must live within 1 hour of the listed base location


DESIRED SKILLS | IS THIS YOU?

· WSPP-WFF1 or S100 / S185 (Can provide course if required)

· Prior fire line experience

· Previous medical experience on an industrial or remote job site

· Proficient knowledge of software systems including Microsoft Teams

· Ability to work effectively in a team


· Excellent problem-solving skills


· Willingness to work long hours under demanding conditions


· Knowledge of WCB standards.


· Experience driving down forestry roads


NORMAL SCHEDULE/HOURS:

· On-Call

· Typically, a 14-day deployment with 12+ hours per day


WAGE RANGE:

· $25 - $28 (+ OT Pay)
