Join our Growing Team. Absolute Surveys Inc is looking for a Construction & Municipal Survey Party Chief to join our team based in Okotoks. The primary work types include surveys for Construction Projects, Boundary Surveys, Subdivisions, Site Surveys, Tower Sites, Real Property Reports. Most work is based in Calgary, Okotoks and surrounding municipalities.

Candidates should posses the following:

  • Graduate of a recognized post-secondary program related to surveying and geomatics or have an equivalent amount of related experience
  • Recent 3 years of experience in the Survey Party Chief role with concentration in construction and municipal surveys in Alberta.
  • Strong working knowledge of survey equipment and software such as RTK GNSS and Robotic Total Stations, data collection software.
  • Experience with survey evidence assessment.
  • Enjoy working outdoors and be physically fit for work demands
  • Be able to represent the company with clients and the public.
  • Good communication skills - verbal and written; ability to produce accurate and legible field notes
  • The ability to develop and motivate survey staff and work well in a team environment
  • A valid driver’s license and can provide a clean driver’s abstract
  • Completed training and valid tickets in First Aid, WHMIS and CSTS safety training, is an asset
