About the Role- FLY IN/ FLY OUT TO NUNAVUT FROM ANY HUB

Naitk Projects is seeking a skilled and reliable Boiler & Mechanical Systems Inspector to join our team in the Territories. This position requires someone who is comfortable working both independently and as part of our field team. You must be willing and able to travel for out-of-town assignments as needed.

The successful candidate will complete daily inspections on boilers, fuel tanks, heating systems, and all associated mechanical components. Strong technical knowledge, attention to detail, and the ability to work in remote or demanding environments are essential.

Responsibilities

  • Perform daily inspections on boilers, tanks, heating systems, and mechanical components
  • Identify deficiencies and prepare inspection reports
  • Ensure all work complies with safety standards, territorial codes, and company procedures
  • Work independently or with team members depending on project needs
  • Travel to various job sites across Nunavut as required

Qualifications & Experience

Preferred:

  • Minimum 3 years mechanical inspection experience
  • Minimum 3 years Oil Burner Mechanic experience
  • Class 4 Power Engineer certification
  • Journeyman Oil Burner Mechanic licence
  • Trade Certificate in a related mechanical field

Additional Requirements:

  • Must be located in or willing to relocate to Iqaluit, NU
  • Strong understanding of boiler and mechanical system safety
  • Ability to work in remote and harsh northern conditions

Compensation

  • $45.00–$50.00 per hour, based on experience
  • Full-time employment with consistent work schedule
