Job Summary
On behalf of client; We are urgently seeking an OS/ Engine attendant on a Live fish carrier (cargo ship) for permanent hiring. Sign-on 2nd of July. The ideal candidate will have international certificates for cargo ships (STCW) and previous experience from similar operations.

Duties

  • Engine attendance/ other equipment (live fish carrier related equipment)
  • Assist in the operations and maintenance of the vessel.
  • Participate in safety drills and emergency response procedures as required.
  • Collaborate with crew members to execute tasks efficiently and safely during voyages.

Preferred skills and certifications

  • Safety course (IMO 60).
  • Bridge watch certificate (STCW).
  • Medical certificate for seamen.
  • Certificate of competency as engine room rating (Not mandatory)
  • Experience from live fish carriers preferred (Not mandatory).
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a team-oriented environment while demonstrating reliability and professionalism.

Note: The ship is trading on east coast Canada (Newfoundland/ Nova Scotia). The position is a permanent position, but candidates only relevant for temporary position are also urged to apply. The ship has Canadian flag. Same payments when home as when onboard.
