About this opportunity:
This is a full-time, permanent position, located offshore on the West White Rose Platform (WWRP), working offshore 12 hours per day on a 3 weeks on/ 3 weeks off rotation.
Reporting to the General Manager, Offshore Installation, the Senior Coordinator, Production/Maintenance is responsible for supervising Production and Utility staff on the West White Rose Platform (WWRP), ensuring all operations are conducted safely and efficiently. This role will act as the Operating Authority for the Permit to Work system and Electronic Control of Work procedure, managing work authorization across the platform. The role will also prepare and submit daily production and operations reports to support performance monitoring and regulatory compliance.
What you’ll do:
-
Supervise the Production/Utility staff and ensure safe operations on the WWRP by completing procedure reviews and updates and daily production/operations reports.
-
Commissioning support to WWRP Commissioning Manager including operations support of production and utilities equipment, including ICSS.
-
Monitor and verify proper database population of engineering parameters, Check Records, and verification criteria for relevant equipment.
-
Contribute to safety program, health and environment protection, reliability and efficiency, ensuring compliance with Project Specifications, applicable codes and CNLOER requirements.
-
Assist in the completion, technical reviews, and revision of operational documentation, supporting the engineer and site team with operational readiness activities.
-
Operate all Production and Utility Systems, overseeing the facility wide maintenance system, and support Drilling Operations when required
-
Training as required by the CAPP Standard Practice for Training & Qualifications of Personnel, Transport Canada, other regulatory requirements, and company required training as per the approved Cenovus Training Matrix
Who you are:
Our ideal candidate will have the following minimum qualifications:
-
Legally authorized to work in Canada
-
Minimum 12 years of offshore oil and gas experience, including demonstrated leadership experience or the ability to effectively lead and influence teams in a frontline operational environment.
-
Technologist or Industry Certification from a recognized post-secondary institution
-
Certified Technologist or Technical certification/Bachelor of Engineering
-
Command and Control/Management of Major Emergencies; and Offshore Well Control Level 2 with recertification every 2 years.
-
The candidate must have adequately demonstrated to the Employer, through on-the job experience or a previous assignment, an ability to perform the duties of a Production Supervisor competently and safely. This would normally take 52 weeks of applicable experience on a production installation.

The candidate must have demonstrated a general knowledge of the equipment, Personnel and operating practices associated with production operations and an ability to make sound decisions, particularly in stressful situations.
-
The candidate must also be fully acquainted with the characteristics, capabilities, and limitations of the operations equipment, and have a thorough knowledge of the organization and actions to be taken in an emergency.

This is a safety sensitive position and will be subject to offshore pre-placement Fitness for Work assessments, which includes drug and alcohol screening, a CAPP medical and BST/HUEBA testing.
You must be able to travel via helicopter and boat. This position requires the successful candidate travel offshore, there you will be required to obtain and maintain medical clearance and obtain all required training necessary for offshore travel.
This is a safety sensitive position and will be subject to pre-placement Fitness for Work assessments, which includes drug and alcohol screening, a medical and driver’s abstract review.
