Overview
We are seeking a detail-oriented and organized Accounts Payable Clerk to join our finance team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for processing invoices, reconciling accounts, and ensuring timely payments. This role requires proficiency with various accounting software and systems, as well as Microsoft Excel. The Accounts Payable Clerk will play a vital role in maintaining accurate financial records and supporting the overall accounting functions of the organization.

Duties

  • Process and verify invoices to ensure accurate recording and appropriate approval
  • Generate weekly cheque runs
  • Perform account reconciliations to ensure accuracy of payable transactions
  • Manage data entry related to accounts payable and accounts receivable activities
  • Assist with invoice approval workflows and vendor communications
  • Maintain organized records of all transactions for audit purposes
  • Support month-end closing procedures by reconciling vendor statements and resolving discrepancies
  • Maintain vendor records and file invoices

Experience

  • Previous experience in an Accounts Payable or accounting role is highly preferred
  • Strong understanding of bookkeeping, account reconciliation, and data entry procedures
  • Demonstrated analytical skills to review financial data accurately and identify discrepancies
