Front Desk Receptionist — Dentix24 (Full-Time, On-Site)

Please note: this role requires prior dental office experience. Applications without dental front-desk or dental administrative experience will not be considered.

Job Summary

Dentix24, a busy dental practice in midtown Toronto (Yonge & Lawrence), is seeking an experienced Dental Front Desk Receptionist to manage our front office and be the welcoming face of our practice. This is a full-time, on-site position for a candidate who already knows the dental world — someone comfortable with dental scheduling, patient flow, and insurance verification from day one. If you have run a dental front desk before and enjoy a fast-paced, patient-focused environment, we'd love to hear from you.

What You'll Do

  • Greet patients warmly and manage all front desk operations, including check-in and check-out
  • Schedule, confirm, and coordinate appointments to keep a busy practice running smoothly
  • Answer multi-line phones promptly and professionally
  • Verify dental insurance coverage and communicate estimates to patients
  • Maintain accurate patient records and handle data entry in our practice software (ABELDENT)
  • Manage reminders, recalls, correspondence, and general front office administration
  • Handle patient inquiries with professionalism and confidentiality

Required

  • Prior dental office experience is required (dental front desk or dental administrative role)
  • Working familiarity with dental insurance — verification, coverage, and patient billing basics
  • Experience with dental practice management software (ABELDENT preferred; comparable systems considered)
  • Comfort with multi-line phone systems and high patient volume
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
  • A warm, professional manner and genuine commitment to patient care

Assets

  • Familiarity with dental assisting or clinical workflow (helpful for supporting the team during busy periods)

Schedule & Location

  • Full-time, on-site at our 3080 Yonge Street location (midtown Toronto, near Lawrence subway station)
  • Candidates should live within a reasonable commuting distance — reliable daily attendance is essential

Pay: $20.00-$30.00 per hour

Ability to commute/relocate:

  • Toronto, ON M4N 3N1: reliably commute or plan to relocate before starting work (required)
