Sentes Automotive is looking for an Accounting Administrative Assistant to join our accounting team. This is a great entry-level opportunity for someone who is detail-oriented, organized, and interested in building a career in automotive accounting.

This role provides administrative and accounting support across a variety of tasks, including reviewing vehicle sale documentation, assisting with deposits, accounts payable support, electronic filing, and helping ensure paperwork is completed accurately and on time.

While this is an entry-level position, it is an important role within our accounting department and offers the opportunity to develop valuable skills in a dealership environment.

What You’ll Do

In this role, you will:

  • Review and finalize documentation such as bills of sale, sales contracts, financial agreements, and other required paperwork
  • Coordinate with sales, accounting, and management to ensure paperwork is completed accurately and within required timelines
  • Scan, upload, and maintain documents using electronic filing systems and company filing procedures
  • Assist with First Nations and out-of-province paperwork when required
  • Provide office support such as filing, photocopying, telephone support, and general administrative assistance
  • Support the accounting department with tasks such as posting bank deposits, accounts payable functions, reconciling daily cash, and preparing deposits
  • Issue cheques, set up wire payments, and process online bill payments as required
  • Contribute to a positive, professional, and team-focused work environment
  • Follow all company policies, procedures, and health and safety standards

What We’re Looking For

The ideal candidate will have:

  • Minimum 1 year of experience in automotive accounting, accounting support, administration, or completing contracts and related documentation
  • Strong attention to detail
  • Strong computer skills, including Microsoft Office, Outlook, Word, Teams, and Excel
  • Excellent organization and time management skills
  • Ability to multitask and prioritize in a busy office environment
  • Strong communication and customer service skills
  • Ability to work independently while also taking direction
  • Strong math skills
  • Minimum high school diploma

Assets

  • Familiarity with dealership systems or automotive dealership software
  • CDK experience
  • Knowledge of accounting software
  • Post-secondary education or certification in accounting, business, or a related field
  • Previous automotive dealership experience
