Job Overview
We are seeking a professional and organized Medical Receptionist to join our healthcare team. The ideal candidate will serve as the first point of contact for patients, providing exceptional customer service while managing administrative tasks efficiently. This role requires familiarity with electronic medical records (Accuro specifically), medical terminology, and office management systems to ensure smooth daily operations within a busy medical or dental practice. Wage dependent on experience.

Responsibilities

  • Greet patients warmly and assist them with check-in and check-out procedures
  • Manage multi-line phone systems to schedule appointments, answer inquiries, and relay messages
  • Maintain accurate patient records using Accuro as an electronic medical records (EMR) systems
  • Verify patient insurance information and process billing or payments as needed
  • Schedule appointments and coordinate with healthcare providers to optimize daily workflow
  • Handle administrative tasks including data entry, filing, and managing correspondence
  • Ensure the front desk area remains organized and welcoming
  • Assist with patient intake forms, updates to medical history, and other documentation requirements
  • Maintain confidentiality of patient information in compliance with HIPAA regulations

Qualifications

  • Prior experienceis highly preferred
  • Proficiency with electronic medical records systems such as Accuro is desirable
  • Strong knowledge of medical terminology and office procedures
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
  • Experience working with multi-line phone systems in a fast-paced environment
  • Demonstrated organizational skills with attention to detail
  • Ability to handle multiple tasks efficiently while maintaining professionalism
  • Previous office experience in healthcare settings is a plus
