About Us

Highbury Park Dental is a friendly, family-oriented dental clinic located in the heart of Barrhaven. Our team is known for delivering high-quality patient care in a supportive, well-organized environment. We are looking for a reliable, detail-oriented Chairside Dental Assistant to join our team.

What You'll Do

  • Assist the dentist during a wide range of restorative, surgical, and cosmetic procedures
  • Prepare and set up operatories, instruments, and materials for each appointment
  • Take and process intraoral / digital radiographs (HARP certification required)
  • Provide four-handed dentistry with strong suction, retraction, and instrument transfer
  • Take intraoral photos and digital scans as needed
  • Educate and guide patients through pre- and post-op instructions
  • Assist with impressions, temporaries, and lab case handling
  • Maintain strict IPAC standards, including instrument reprocessing between patients
  • Keep accurate clinical notes and update patient charts in the software
  • Support the team with turnover, restocking, and daily clinic flow

What We're Looking For

  • Certified Dental Assistant (Level II preferred) or equivalent training
  • HARP certification (required for taking radiographs in Ontario)
  • Strong four-handed dentistry skills and quick chairside instincts
  • Warm, patient-focused personality with excellent communication skills
  • Reliable, punctual, and a strong team player
  • Comfortable with digital dentistry (intraoral scanners, digital x-rays)
  • French an asset but not required
  • Prior experience in a general dental practice is a strong asset

Schedule

  • Thursday: 10:00 AM – 6:00 PM
  • Friday: 9:00 AM – 6:00 PM
  • Saturday: 9:00 AM – 3:00 PM

Additional hours may become available based on clinic needs.
