Summit Veterinary Pharmacy is currently looking for a Bilingual Office Assistant to fill one full-time vacancy in our busy Office Department.

Located in Aurora, Ontario, Summit has been supplying prescription compounded medications to veterinary clinics across Canada for over 20 years. Our mission is to set the standard for excellence in veterinary compounding; enabling veterinarians to fulfill their commitment to their clients' health and well-being.

Principle Responsibilities:

  • Provide excellent customer service to our clients including regular phone assistance
  • Checks incoming prescriptions for missing information
  • Create hard copy prescriptions using Kroll prescription software
  • Data Entry- including creating new patient and doctor files
  • File and sort prescriptions to be archived
  • Assist with sorting desk functions
  • Completing credits, direct to client requests, client pick-ups and any applicable shipping charges
  • Complete additional tasks required by management such as filing, checking business supply inventory, ensuring product is readily available for office use, etc.
  • Perform other duties as required by management

Preferred Skills:

  • Kroll prescription software knowledge is an asset, but not a requirement.
  • Exceptional organizational skills and ability to multi-task
  • French/English language skills – conversational French required
  • Computer literacy
  • Customer service/telephone etiquette
  • Great initiative and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to work independently as well as in a group
  • Meticulous- willing to learn and work in a constantly changing environment
  • Be punctual and maintain a good attendance record

Educational Requirements:

  • High school diploma or equivalent

Schedule:

  • Monday to Friday - Approximately 40 hours per week
  • Day Shift : 10:00am to 6:30pm
