Job Overview
We are seeking a detail-oriented and friendly Medical Receptionist to join our healthcare team. The ideal candidate will be the first point of contact for patients, providing exceptional customer service while managing various administrative tasks in a medical or dental office setting. This role is crucial in ensuring smooth operations at the front desk and maintaining accurate patient records.

Responsibilities

  • Greet patients warmly and assist them with the check-in process.
  • Manage phone systems to handle incoming calls, schedule appointments, and respond to inquiries.
  • Maintain electronic medical records (EMR), OSCAR PRO accurately and efficiently.
  • Verify patient information and healthcard details prior to appointments.
  • Coordinate with medical staff and physicians to ensure seamless patient flow throughout the office.
  • Handle administrative tasks such as filing, data entry, and managing correspondence.
  • Assist with billing processes and collect payments as necessary.
  • Ensure the front desk area is organized and welcoming for patients.

Requirements

  • Previous experience in a medical or dental office preferred.
  • Familiarity with electronic medical records systems; experience with OSCAR PRO EMR is a plus.
  • Strong understanding of medical terminology and administrative procedures.
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
  • Proficient in using office equipment and phone systems.
  • Ability to multitask effectively in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
