About Us

Eston Nurture & Grow Childcare is a non-profit organization dedicated to providing high-quality, licensed, and government subsidized child care to the town of Eston and surrounding area. Our newly built centre is licensed for 40 spaces for children aged 6 weeks to school aged children. We will be open Monday to Friday from 7:15am–5:45pm.

We are seeking enthusiastic and caring Early Childhood Educators to join our team. In this role, you will help create a safe, welcoming, and stimulating environment where children can learn, grow, and thrive.

Responsibilities

  • Provide early learning and care that reflects the centre’s philosophy and values
  • Ensure the health, safety, and overall well-being of all children in care
  • Plan and implement developmentally appropriate programs in collaboration with families, colleagues, and the community
  • Follow all operational policies, procedures, and licensing standards
  • Support inclusive practices that encourage participation and success for every child
  • Develop and lead engaging activities that align with the Play & Exploration curriculum
  • Assist children with daily routines, including diapering, toileting, hygiene, and other personal needs
  • Build positive relationships and open communication with families, staff, and community partners

Qualifications

  • Early Childhood Education certification (or willingness to obtain)
  • Experience and/or strong interest in working with young children in an early learning environment
  • Understanding of inclusive practices and supporting diverse needs
  • Willingness to complete additional ECE training to meet certification requirements (if applicable)
  • Strong teamwork and communication skills, with the ability to work independently as well
  • Current Criminal Record Check, including Vulnerable Sector Screening
  • CPR-C and First Aid Certification (or willingness to obtain)
  • Minimum 16 years of age and legally entitled to work in Canada
