COSCO SHIPPING Lines (Canada) Inc. is a leading global ocean carrier with a rich history in the Canadian market. The company is launching a brand-new operations centre, COSCO SHIPPING NAOC – North America Operation Center, in Toronto, and we are seeking detail-oriented Export Vessel Schedule Coordinators to optimize our maritime shipping timelines. In this role, you will serve as the critical link between ocean carriers, port authorities, and internal logistics teams to maintain flawless, on-time vessel schedules and data accuracy .

This is a full-time position based on 37.5 hours per week reporting to the Assistant Manager of Export Department of NAOC.

Key Responsibilities

  • Generate TEU reports
  • Generate and monitor Daily TPT report
  • Open/Close vessels in Current Issues based on BAL and other monitored metrics
  • Monitor notifications and add updates to Current Issues received from various sources, including but not limited to vessel operator, port captains, planners, terminals. This includes but is not limited to port omissions, change of rotation, phase in/phase out.
  • Check and coordinate with Marine Operations teams to adjust ITS to reflect the changes.
  • Update cuts in Cutoff Voyage Control module and notify customers.
  • Batch edits of bookings on vessels when changes are announced. Coordinate with other teams including CS, ESSP, RTT where applicable.
  • Maintain / Update Static Allocation templates in IRIS
  • Find ways to improve processes by means of reporting efficiencies.
  • Meet current department KPI's  
  • Cross-functional assistance to other department teams as needed

Skills/Requirement

  • Bachelor’s degree with 1-3 years of experience, or 5+ years of experience in lieu of degree
  • Knowledge of import/export business, 3rd party platform is a plus.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Strong organizational skill, ability to prioritize and multitask
  • Solutions-oriented and customer-centric
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook, SharePoint)
  • Knowledge and experience with Freshdesk, Power Automate and Power BI a plus
