Swift Health is hiring a Pediatric Occupational Therapist at our Surrey clinic. We are looking for experienced pediatric occupational therapists who want a supportive, flexible practice where you build your own caseload and are compensated well for your expertise. This is a contractor position with a minimum 20 hour/week commitment.

Who We Work With

At Swift Health, pediatric occupational therapists are responsible for engaging in evidence-based, family-centered, culturally safe supports and services of children ages 0-18 through a functional-based approach.

At Swift Health we provide in-clinic (Surrey, BC) and community-based OT services.

This position is for in clinic pediatrics at our Surrey location.

  • Mentorship and Clinical Support: We believe in continual learning. We host monthly webinars and in-person meetups to discuss rare and complex diagnoses and challenges, including gross and fine motor delays, low strength and/or tone, spasticity, vestibular challenges, sensory challenges, communication challenges, feeding delays and emotional dysregulation.
  • Fun Meetups and Events: We host regular (optional) team events. Come out, grab a bite to eat, play some games and hang out with your coworkers.
  • Modern Team: Our modern team currently consists of the following disciplines - occupational therapy, kinesiology, speech-language pathology, clinical counselling, and software development.

RASP-Supervised Track (Priority Recruiting Stream)

This is a priority recruiting stream for Swift Health. Supervision is provided directly by a CHCPBC-registered, RASP-designated occupational therapist, giving you structured, hands-on mentorship as you build autism-specific clinical skills.

This pathway is designed for occupational therapists who are clinically experienced but new to the autism field.

The RASP-supervised track requires a minimum commitment of 25 hours/week, reflecting the structured supervision requirements of the RASP program. Experienced occupational therapists joining this track start at $110/hr.

Responsibilities

· Provide comprehensive assessments for clients ages 0-18, with a wide range of concerns including feeding, gross motor, fine motor, visual motor, sensory and self-care.

· Provide goal-directed 1:1 therapy sessions, consultations and education to families and clients, to assist clients to maximize their function and participation in identified areas.

· Maintain communication with clients and families in order to foster optimal progress for the client through methods such as establishing collaborative and therapeutic relationships.

· Provide parent training on topics including feeding, sleeping, and sensory issues.

· Prepare detailed progress reports, funding letters, and recommendations for parents/teachers and other agencies.

· Recommendations for adaptive equipment and aids to facilitate function in school and home.

· Provide supervision and teaching to behavioral interventionists as part of your caseload responsibilities.

Requirements

  • A university degree in Occupational Therapy
  • Eligible to register with the College of Health and Care Professionals of BC (CHCPBC)

Pay

This is a contractor position. Your pay will start at $100/hr depending on experience. Experienced occupational therapists on the RASP-supervised track start at $110/hr. If you choose to take community clients, travel pay is $2.50/km (mileage for client visits is fully compensated — 100% of mileage goes to the occupational therapist).
