Relevant du/de la Gestionnaire santé et sécurité, le/la Coordonnateur(trice) santé, sécurité et réclamations est responsable de la gestion globale des dossiers de la CNESST (Commission des normes, de l’équité, de la santé et de la sécurité du travail), en assurant l’exactitude et la rapidité des déclarations ainsi que les communications avec les employé(e)s, les gestionnaires, les fournisseurs de soins de santé et les représentant(e)s de la CNESST. De plus, le/la Coordonnateur(trice) santé, sécurité et réclamations soutient et assiste le/la Gestionnaire SST ainsi que l’ensemble de l’équipe SST dans la planification, le développement et la mise en œuvre de projets spéciaux. Ce rôle offre également un soutien lié aux accidents de travail et/ou aux situations d’urgence. Le/la Coordonnateur(trice) santé, sécurité et réclamations joue un rôle important dans le développement d’une forte culture de prévention tout en soutenant l’excellence opérationnelle et le bien-être des employé(e)s.
Responsabilités principales
- Traiter et gérer les dossiers CNESST à partir du moment de l’accident jusqu’à leur résolution et au retour au travail.
- Superviser le programme de retour au travail (RTW), y compris la coordination des tâches légères/modifiées conformes aux restrictions médicales, le suivi des progrès des employé(e)s, le respect des exigences d’accommodement et la facilitation d’une réintégration sécuritaire et durable au travail.
- Assurer la conformité à toutes les exigences législatives et réglementaires en matière de santé et sécurité au travail.
- Participer aux initiatives de prévention des accidents dans les environnements de fabrication, d’entrepôt et de bureau.
- Enquêter sur les incidents, accidents et quasi-accidents en milieu de travail; effectuer des analyses des causes fondamentales et mettre en œuvre des mesures correctives et préventives.
- Participer activement au comité conjoint de santé et sécurité et assurer une collaboration efficace avec les représentant(e)s des employé(e)s.
- Assurer la conformité globale aux lois applicables en santé et sécurité au travail et fournir des conseils à la direction concernant la prévention des blessures et les meilleures pratiques en matière de SST.
- Animer des séances d’accueil et de formation en santé et sécurité, au besoin.
- Favoriser une culture proactive de la sécurité grâce à des initiatives d’engagement et de sensibilisation des employé(e)s.
- Effectuer des inspections périodiques afin d’identifier les écarts de conformité et les occasions d’améliorer la performance en santé et sécurité.
- Participer aux discussions d’équipe axées sur l’amélioration continue en évaluant les pratiques actuelles et en identifiant les forces et les opportunités d’amélioration.
- Soutenir et assister les projets spéciaux assignés à l’équipe santé et sécurité.
- Participer à la planification et à la mise en œuvre des activités de mieux-être tout au long de l’année.
- Effectuer toute autre tâche connexe et participer à des projets spéciaux afin de soutenir les objectifs organisationnels.
Formation
Diplôme d’études en santé et sécurité au travail ou dans un domaine connexe, OU combinaison équivalente de formation et d’expérience professionnelle pertinente.
Expérience
Minimum de 2 années d’expérience dans des fonctions en santé et sécurité au travail, préférablement dans un environnement manufacturier ou industriel. Une solide expérience en gestion des dossiers CNESST constitue un atout important. Une bonne compréhension du processus d’enquête sur les accidents est privilégiée. La connaissance des réglementations fédérales et provinciales en santé et sécurité au travail sera considérée comme un atout prioritaire.
Logiciels
Maîtrise de Microsoft Office (Excel, Outlook, Word). Une expérience avec des systèmes de gestion de la santé et sécurité ainsi que des logiciels de déclaration d’incidents constitue un atout.

General Description of the Role
Reporting to the Health & Safety Manager, the Health, Safety and Claims Coordinator is responsible for the overall management of the CNESST case files, ensuring accurate and timely reporting, as well as communication with employees, managers, health care providers and the CNESST representatives. In addition, this role The Health, Safety and Claims Coordinator supports and assists the H&S manager and entire H&S team with the planning, development and implementation of special projects. This role also provides support related to work-place accidents and/or emergencies. The Health, Safety and Claims Coordinator plays an important role in fostering a strong safety culture while supporting operational excellence and employee well-being.
Key Responsibilities
- Process and manage CNESST case files from time of injury through the resolution process and return to work.
- Oversees the RTW (Return to work) program, including the coordination of light/modified duties that align with medical restrictions, monitoring employee progress, ensuring accommodation requirements and facilitating a safe and sustainable reintegration into the workplace
- Ensure compliance with all legislative and regulatory requirements related to workplace health and safety.
- Participate in accident prevention initiatives across manufacturing, warehouse, and office environments.
- Investigate workplace incidents, accidents, and near-misses; conduct root cause analyses and implement corrective and preventive actions.
- Actively participate in the Joint Health and Safety committee and ensure effective collaboration with employee representatives.
- Ensures overall compliance with applicable occupational health and safety legislation and provides guidance to management on injury prevention and best practices for workplace health and safety.
- Deliver health and safety onboarding sessions, if required.
- Foster a proactive safety culture through employee engagement and awareness initiatives.
- Complete periodic inspections to identify gaps in compliance and opportunities to enhance safety performance.
- Participate in team discussions focused on continuous improvement by evaluating current practices and identifying strengths and areas for development.
- Support and assist in special projects assigned to the health and safety team.
- Participate in the planning and implementation of Wellness activities throughout the year.
- Perform other related duties and assist in special tasks or projects assigned, to support organizational objectives.
Education
Educational degree in occupational health and safety or other related field OR an equivalent combination of education and relevant work experience.
Experience
2+ years of experience in health and safety roles, preferably in a manufacturing or industrial environment. Strong experience in CNESST case management is considered a significant asset. A solid understanding of the accident investigation process is preferred. Knowledge of federal and provincial Operational Health and Safety regulations will be prioritized.
Software
Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Outlook, Word). Experience with health and safety management systems, incident reporting software, is an asset.
