Who we are

The Westin Bear Mountain Resort & Spa in Victoria is a luxurious 5-star hotel with 91 rooms, a restaurant, a bar and lounge area, a 300-person ballroom, and conference facilities. The hotel is part of the Westin brand, which falls under the Marriott umbrella. The hotel also features a state-of-the-art spa and serenity pool.

About the position

We are looking for an experienced Night Audit Manager to oversee hotel operations during the overnight shift.

This is a hands-on leadership position combining Night Audit and Front Desk responsibilities with overnight operational oversight. The Night Audit Manager will act as the primary leadership contact overnight, support guest service, respond to incidents, ensure the safety and security of the property, and complete all financial reconciliation and audit requirements.

The ideal candidate is dependable, confident working independently, and able to make sound decisions while maintaining a high level of guest service.

Key Responsibilities

  • Oversee hotel operations during the overnight shift.
  • Act as the primary point of contact for guest concerns, operational issues, emergencies, and security incidents.
  • Provide direction and support to overnight Front Desk and Night Audit associates.
  • Complete the nightly audit and ensure all postings, charges, payments, and transactions are balanced.
  • Prepare accurate Night Audit reports and communicate relevant information to hotel leadership.
  • Verify reservations, process payments, assign rooms, and respond to guest requests.
  • Maintain accurate and confidential records of guest interactions, incidents, and financial transactions.
  • Ensure the hotel is safe and secure overnight.
  • Support the training, coaching, and development of Night Audit associates.
  • Ensure all overnight duties are completed accurately and on time.

Qualifications

  • Previous Night Audit or hotel Front Desk experience is required.
  • Previous supervisory or leadership experience is preferred.
  • Strong knowledge of hotel operations, payment processing, and financial reconciliation.
  • Ability to work independently and make decisions during overnight operations.
  • Strong guest service, communication, and problem-solving skills.
  • High level of accuracy, reliability, and attention to detail.
  • Availability to work overnight shifts, weekends, and holidays as required.
