Full job description

About us

Dahlia Nutrition is a virtual private practice specializing in fertility nutrition, serving clients across Ontario. Founded and led by Dahlia Abou El Hassan, MScFN, RD, the practice supports individuals and couples through preconception planning, IVF and IUI cycles, frozen embryo transfers, PMOS and endometriosis, male fertility, and more.

We work closely with fertility clinics across the province through referral partnerships, and we take evidence-based, non-restrictive, culturally responsive nutrition care seriously. Our clients come to us at a vulnerable point in their lives. The care they get here is warm, practical, and grounded in the research.

We're growing, and we're looking for a dietitian to join us.

The role

This is a one-day-per-week virtual position. The day is either Tuesday or Wednesday, running approximately 11:00am to 7:00pm — the later block reflects when our clients can actually meet, since most are working and many have early-morning monitoring appointments during active cycles. There is some flexibility in the exact day and hours, and we're open to reviewing the schedule with the right candidate.

You'll carry your own caseload of fertility clients from anywhere in Ontario. The work looks like:

  • Conducting virtual initial assessments and follow-up consultations
  • Completing nutritional analysis from client food diaries and translating findings into realistic, individualized care plans
  • Writing timely, thorough chart notes in our EMR system
  • Coordinating with referring fertility clinics and other members of a client's care team as needed
  • Supporting clients through cycle-specific nutrition needs (stimulation, transfer, the two-week wait, pregnancy)

What we're looking for

Required

  • Current registration in good standing with the College of Dietitians of Ontario (CDO)
  • Bachelor's degree in nutrition/dietetics from an accredited program (completed dietetic internship or equivalent practicum)
  • Professional liability insurance (or willingness to obtain before start)
  • Residing in Ontario
  • Available one weekday per week (Tuesday or Wednesday), up to eight hours, including late-afternoon and early-evening appointments
  • Demonstrated clinical experience in fertility and reproductive health nutrition
  • Experience counselling clients with PMOS and endometriosis
  • Prenatal nutrition experience
  • Proficiency with supplementation — prenatal and fertility-specific supplements, including forms, dosing, evidence base, and interactions
  • Comfort with virtual care delivery and PIPEDA/PHIPA-compliant practice, including secure documentation and communication
  • Excellent counselling skills and genuine comfort sitting with clients through difficult, emotional conversations

Nice to have

  • Familiarity with assisted reproductive technology protocols and terminology
  • Experience working alongside fertility clinics as needed
  • Training in motivational interviewing

What we offer

  • Competitive fee split. Income will depend on number of clients you see.
  • Administrative, scheduling, and documentation infrastructure already built — so you can focus on client care
  • Fully virtual work, with one predictable day at minimum.

How to apply

Send your resume and a cover lette to dahlia@dahlianutrition.ca. Please include your CDO registration number.
