We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Clinical Coordinator to join our leadership team and help guide the delivery of high-quality clinical services for our residents.

What You'll Do:

As a member of the Chancellor Park leadership team, the successful candidate will:

  • Collaborate with the Resident Care Manager and the Clinical Coordinator team to support the delivery of high-quality resident care and services;
  • Monitor and support quality indicators in accordance with long-term care standards, professional practice requirements, and best practices;
  • Support and oversee RAI-MDS processes and clinical documentation standards;
  • Co-lead Infection Prevention and Control initiatives and support outbreak management activities;
  • Coordinate admissions and support the transition of new residents into the home;
  • Arrange and participate in annual resident care conferences with residents and families;
  • Co-lead clinical programs including falls prevention, continence care, responsive behaviours, wound care, palliative care, and medication management;
  • Support quality improvement initiatives, audits, data collection, and continuous quality improvement activities;
  • Assist with the orientation, education, and ongoing development of nursing staff;
  • Participate in the evaluation and coaching of nursing employees;
  • Facilitate clinical teaching sessions and support evidence-based practice initiatives;
  • Provide clinical leadership and support during staffing challenges or critical staffing shortages;
  • Contribute to the development, implementation, and review of nursing policies, procedures, and clinical programs;
  • Promote Chancellor Park's mission, vision, values, and philosophy of resident-centered care;
  • Perform other related duties as assigned.

Hours of Work:

Full-time employees are scheduled 75 hours on a bi-weekly basis.

The Clinical Coordinator works collaboratively with the Resident Care Manager and fellow Clinical Coordinator to support the clinical operations of the home. Shift schedules will be determined based on operational requirements and may include rotational hours.

What We're Looking For:

We're seeking a compassionate and experienced nursing professional with strong leadership abilities and a commitment to excellence in long-term care. Qualifications include:

  • Graduation from an approved School of Nursing;
  • Current and active registration with the College of Registered Nurses of Newfoundland and Labrador (CRNNL);
  • Bachelor of Nursing (BN) degree considered an asset;
  • Minimum five (5) years of experience in geriatric nursing, preferably in a leadership role;
  • Demonstrated leadership, organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills;
  • Strong clinical knowledge and understanding of long-term care best practices;
  • Ability to build positive working relationships with interdisciplinary team members and stakeholders;
  • Ability to work independently and exercise sound professional judgment;
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills;
  • Excellent attention to detail and organizational abilities;
  • Proficiency with computer applications and clinical documentation systems;
  • Satisfactory attendance and performance record;
  • Certificate of Good Conduct, including Vulnerable Sector Check;
  • Medical Certificate including evidence of TB testing and immunizations.
