Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and adaptable Registered Nurse (Travel) to provide exceptional patient care across various healthcare settings (Saskatchewan, Nova Scotia, PEI). This role offers the opportunity to work in diverse environments . The ideal candidate will possess strong clinical skills, a flexible attitude, and experience with a wide range of patient population. This position is perfect for nurses who thrive on variety and are committed to delivering compassionate, high-quality care.

Duties

  • Deliver comprehensive nursing care to patients in multiple healthcare environments specifically acute care, emergency and ICU department.
  • Administer medications and treatments accurately following physician orders while adhering to safety protocols.
  • Perform patient assessments, monitor vital signs, and document findings using electronic health records systems.
  • Assist with pain management, case management, and patient education tailored to individual needs.
  • Conduct phlebotomy procedures and manage laboratory specimen collection when required.
  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to develop and implement individualized care plans.
  • Provide specialized care for diverse populations.
  • Maintain compliance with healthcare regulations and facility policies while ensuring patient safety and comfort.
  • Engage in ongoing professional development to stay current with medical terminology updates, medication administration techniques, and evolving healthcare practices.

Qualifications

  • Valid RN license in the state of practice (SK, Nova Scotia, PEI).
  • Special Skills/ Qualifications Required: BLS, ACLS, PALS, Critical Care course, Lead 2 Interpretation.
  • Will also need to complete PART, TLR, and WHMIS during onboarding (if not previously completed for SHA).
  • Strong knowledge of medical terminology, medication administration, pain management, case management, and laboratory procedures.
  • Experience working with diverse patient populations
  • Excellent communication skills and the ability to adapt quickly to new environments.
  • Ability to work independently while maintaining high standards of patient care.
  • Certification in phlebotomy or laboratory experience is advantageous but not mandatory.
